Search for real peptide dosing information today and you land in one of three places: a tracking app that locks its own data behind a monthly subscription, a forum thread from years ago with no sources, or a vendor's product page dressed up as "education." None of those are built to actually teach you anything. They're built to convert you into a subscriber, a member, or a customer first.

What gatekeeping actually looks like today

Take PeptIQ, one of the most widely used peptide-tracking apps. Its own pricing page answers the question directly: "No. Full app access requires PeptIQ Premium." There's no free tier for the tracking tool itself, reminders, protocol history, and dosing math all sit behind a subscription running $79.99 a year (discounted from a $150 list price), or a weekly plan if you just want to get through one cycle. The information you need to use a peptide safely is the product being sold.

The other version of gatekeeping is quieter: a site that presents itself as a free, open community but backs its authority with numbers no visitor can check. One well-known peptide education platform's homepage advertises "12,000+ members already inside" and "200+ protocols," with no member directory, no visible community activity, and no way for a reader to verify either figure. Confident-sounding numbers aren't the same as verifiable ones, and a reader has no way to tell the difference from the outside.

Personalized protocols still route through a licensed provider at Stackhaus Health, because that's a genuine clinical decision a webpage shouldn't replace, but the education itself was never something you should have had to pay to unlock.
