Mechanism of Action
Selective, membrane-permeable inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), a cytosolic enzyme upregulated in adipocytes that consumes SAM and generates 1-methylnicotinamide. Inhibiting NNMT increases intracellular NAD+ and SAM availability and suppresses lipogenesis in adipocytes.
