Mechanism of Action

The best-controlled human trial (Bes et al., 1992) found DSIP improved objective sleep efficiency and latency but concluded short-term treatment was unlikely to provide major clinical benefit for chronic insomnia — the evidence doesn't support outsized sleep claims. Category placement here is imperfect: DSIP is really a sleep/stress-axis peptide, and the site has no dedicated bucket for that.
